GREENACRES, Fla. (CBS12) — A fire that reignited and spread to the roof of a Greenacres plaza prompted an evacuation and a response from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue on Thursday morning.
According to Greenacres Fire Rescue, crews responded to a fire at a plaza at 3985 S. Jog Road just north of Lake Worth Road. When firefighters arrived, the building’s sprinkler system had extinguished the initial fire. However, a fire marshal found the fire had rekindled and spread to the roof above the sprinkler system, prompting an additional response.
