It appears Palm Beach will not grant clemency to those unaware of the town’s zoning code in cases involving unauthorized pickleball courts.
That’s the lesson the South End’s Carlton Place Condominium learned when officials unanimously denied granting retroactive approval to two pickleball courts that were put in place without the town’s go-ahead. The courts have generated complaints from neighbors about the loud thwak of pickleball paddles hitting the plastic balls used in the sport.
