PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Palm Beach County Fire Rescue is warning people to stay out of the ocean this weekend as heavy surf and currents create dangerous swimming conditions along the coast.
The warning comes as crews trained for the same conditions they could face during a real water rescue.
According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, Personal Rescue Watercraft worked alongside a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter during a training exercise focused on navigating heavy surf and strong currents.
