It’s sometimes hard to distinguish between summer and fall in Palm Beach, at least where the weather is concerned.
But there’s always a tell-tale sign, as snowbirds begin to return to the island from wherever they spent the summer — from their homes in the Northeast, perhaps, or the mountains of North Carolina. Or from extended trips to Europe and other destinations abroad.
And as they return to Palm Beach, they bring with them heavier traffic on the roadways. Locals already are seeing more cars arriving from other parts of the country or being driven again after spending the summer in garages…
