Jill Gallagher and Jordan Brown were chairwomen for the afternoon, which began with a social hour and silent auction.
After the reception, the guests moved to the ballroom for brief remarks from founding CEO Charles Bender.
“We are grateful to our community who partnered with us in supporting the at-risk children and youth in our community,” Bender said. “These attendees provide safety, stability, and hope to the children and youth we help.”
The event continued with lunch, a live auction and presentations from Walsh.
Walsh, spokesman for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the creator and host of “America’s Most Wanted,” spoke about the extent of trafficking in the country.
“We are so grateful that John Walsh supported our event,” said development director Jamie Bond. “We are thrilled that this year’s ‘Light in the Shadows’ was such a resounding success … leaving a lasting impact on everyone involved. “
