4-Star EDGE Amaree Williams Announces Commitment To ACC Program

Four-star EDGE Amaree Williams announced his commitment to Florida State on Saturday. He committed to the Seminoles over Florida State, Miami, and Kentucky.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound edge rusher is from The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He was a 2025 prospect but reclassified in December to the 2024 class.

Williams is the No. 185 overall prospect and No. 24 EDGE in the class of 2024. He ranks as the No. 3 EDGE and No. 24 player in the state of Florida, according to the On3 industry rankings .

Williams played both sides of the ball last season, totaling 34 tackles, eight tackles for loss, four sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one interception. He also caught 16 passes for 424 receiving yards and seven touchdowns as a wide receiver.

Following Williams’ commitment, Florida State’s 2024 recruiting class ranks No. 12 nationally and No. 2 in the ACC.
