Renowned NYC bagel shop featured in movies, TV making Florida debut in Palm Beach County

Founded in New York City in 1972, beloved bagel maker H&H Bagels will soon open a store on Glades Road in Boca Raton.

The company’s first franchise ever, it is owned by Marc Schultz and partner Chris Greco and will be H&H Bagels’ first store in Florida.

No stranger to H&H Bagels, Schultz said that he and Greco are “New Yorkers born and raised,” and that they “grew up on these bagels.”

Knowing how good the bagels are and how popular they are in New York City, Schultz said that when he found out they were planning on franchising he immediately reached out to H&H Bagel CEO Jay Rushin. Though both he and Greco were new to the restaurant business, Schultz said they really hit off with Rushin and ended up going forward with the deal.

Maybe “popular” isn’t the right word as H&H Bagels are so synonymous with great bagels and New York City that they have been featured in multiple movies and television shows including “Seinfeld,” “The
Office,” “Sex and the City,” “Entourage,” “You’ve Got Mail,” “How I Met Your Mother,” and many more. Seinfeld’s friend Kramer worked at H&H. Further, “When Joe Fox is commenting on bagels and the flour that rises in the air during his walks with Brinkley, he is seen passing by the former H&H Bagels shop that was formerly located at 2239 Broadway, New York, NY (he is seen walking up from West 80th Street),” according to cineguides.com . H&H is that kind of famous.
