Some Floridians know that it is becoming increasingly common for Publix to build new stores around up-and-coming mixed development. By doing this, Publix has a large customer base built-in. I’ve written about a new build constructed among luxury condos and a food hall in Miami as well as a new Publix by a new, coastal development called Seaflower. And now, we have another new Publix build – in a large upcoming Palm Beach Gardens community called Avenir Town Center.
About The Planned Publix: This will be Florida’s store 1800 and will be located at 12535 Northlake Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens. It will be one of the newer, “modern-style” stores. It is expected to have 49,000 square feet and an indoor seating area for customers.
According to the City of Palm Beach Gardens, it is hoped that Publix will receive its certificate of occupancy in the fall of 2024 and the shopping center itself will be finished in later 2024.
According to the Palm Beach Post, newly built modern Publix stores have more muted colors with greys and dark greens, increased seating, more bulk foods, and larger international sections.
