The Dish: PB Catch in Palm Beach spotlights Maine lobster with limited-time event

Through Oct. 11, Maine lobster — a favorite delicacy in Palm Beach — is being spotlighted at PB Catch, 251 Sunrise Ave.

While the clawed crustacean always has a presence at the seafood restaurant and raw bar, it now anchors a special Lobster Extravaganza menu offered in addition to PB Catch’s regular menu.

Featuring both classic and innovative lobster dishes by chef de cuisine Kevin Sawyer, the a la carte lobster menu follows a limited-time shrimp-centric menu offered over the summer.

Among the appetizers on the Lobster Extravaganza menu is lobster bisque ($18) with tomato, Maine lobster, sherry and cream, and chilled lobster carpaccio ($33) with tangerine, mirin and basil and a mango-scented hearts of palm salad.

Maine-lobster risotto ($55) is one of the featured entrees, and it’s served with black truffle, toasted acorn squash, Reggiano-parmesan cheese and herbs.

Other entrees include Maine lobster fettuccini ($68) with San Marzano tomato-basil cream and French goat cheese, and Maine lobster-and-Florida rock shrimp cakes ($48) served over toasted orzo pasta primavera with roasted red pepper and pesto crema.
