New Publix Coming to Florida’s Expansive 4,000-Home Development with Eateries, Hospital

Palm Beach Gardens, FL—Florida’s favorite grocery chain, Publix, is continuing its strategic expansion by establishing new stores in mixed-use developments across the state. The latest addition is planned for Avenir Town Center, a sprawling, upcoming community in Palm Beach Gardens that will feature 4,000 homes, shops, eateries, and essential amenities like a hospital and charter school.

Florida’s 1,800th Publix Store

The new Publix, set to be Florida’s 1,800th location, will be located at 12535 Northlake Boulevard. This 49,000-square-foot “modern-style” store will be part of a broader effort by Publix to appeal to evolving customer preferences. The store will feature an indoor seating area for diners, bulk food sections, and an expanded international foods aisle—hallmarks of Publix’s newer, upscale designs.

According to the City of Palm Beach Gardens, the Publix is expected to receive its certificate of occupancy by fall 2024, with the shopping center scheduled for completion by the end of the year. This Publix will reflect the chain’s contemporary aesthetic, with muted colors like greys and dark greens, as well as increased seating options, providing a more comfortable shopping and dining experience for residents.
