Lucas Appleton, a server at the Hampton Social in Delray Beach, is set to lose about $1,000 a month after the restaurant implemented a new service charge policy. According to WPTV, a 20% service charge added to customer bills will not be fully passed on to the employees. Instead, workers like Appleton will only receive 18% while the restaurant keeps the remainder for expenses.
