“I am alive and well; I won’t complain,” says Jodian Francois when she picks up the phone and you ask how she is.
The motto is a reminder of the peace Francois, 34, has chosen as she continues to heal from the trauma of losing a child when five months pregnant.
It’s a journey she wants to share with others, leading Francois to commit herself to acting on her dream of a foundation.
Thus, the Briella Legacy Foundation found its wings, and you can see it in its logo, illustrated by Francois’ baby blue butterfly wings lifting the silhouette of a baby to represent the memory of Briélla Faith Francois.

The foundation, for which she is now laying plans for raising money, aims to help support women who have experienced the loss of a child during or after pregnancy by offering counseling resources, educational tools, and connections to other mothers.
