True confession: Bacon or sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches (BECS and SECS for short) are my breakfast jam, perhaps to the point of obsession.
But here’s the thing: I don’t like to eat before 11 a.m., so finding satisfaction on weekdays can be a tricky task, especially since 2020 when McDonald’s killed its breakfast all-day offering because of limited grill space and efficiency.
My go-to there was the Egg McMuffin, but to ensure a super fresh sandwich, I’d ask for an extra toasty muffin and no Canadian bacon with my fresh cracked eggs.
When it came to McGriddles, I requested them without sausage.
