Car left running at West Palm Beach store stolen

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A muscle car left running in front of a West Palm Beach convenience store early Tuesday morning proved to be too tempting for a suspected thief.

According to the arrest report, the victim ran into the store, at 252 S. Military Trail, around 3:15 a.m., only to find his Dodge Challenger gone when he came back out. He told investigators he thought he locked the doors and still had the keys with him.

The victim had left his iPhone in the car, which helped deputies track it down quickly. Thanks to Apple’s “Find My iPhone” feature, the Challenger was located about three miles away…
