West Palm Beach officer taken to hospital after SUV strikes patrol car in hit-and-run

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A West Palm Beach police officer was injured in a hit-and-run crash. Days later, police continue to search for the culprit.

The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) said the collision occurred on Friday evening near 1900 Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, west of I-95.

Officers were responding to a separate crash and had activated their emergency lights when the incident took place. Police said as the officer was entering his marked patrol car, a white SUV — believed to be a 2022-2024 white Hyundai Tucson — struck the vehicle around 8:30 p.m., throwing the officer to the ground…
