78-year-old man faces vehicular homicide in crash that killed 2 in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A 78-year-old man was arrested on two counts of vehicular homicide after a crash that claimed the lives of two pedestrians in West Palm Beach.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said that Ronald McKenzie was taken into custody on April 22 in connection with the deadly crash.

The crash occurred on December 27, 2024, before 7 p.m., at the intersection of Drexel Road and Fairgreen Road. According to the crash report, McKenzie was driving a 2011 Toyota Venza southbound on Drexel Road when he attempted to pass a slowing vehicle by entering the turn lane…
