Delray Beach Staple Granger’s Grille Closes After 30 Years

Granger’s Grille, the all-American neighborhood staple where locals gathered for hefty burgers, iced teas, and big-hearted service, has officially closed its doors. Signs of the closure are already evident online: the restaurant’s website has gone dark, and Yelp now marks the business as closed.

Marino Pagones shared the news in a heartfelt Facebook message on Monday, May 12, explaining that the closure was due to the sale of the building. “This is not how we imagined things ending,” the post reads. “As a family-owned business, this decision was not made by will, but by circumstance.” The owner has reportedly said he hopes to open elsewhere, though no further information is available at this time.

Its last day of service was on Monday, May 12, 2025.

Longtime customers immediately took to the comments, with some writing, “Another iconic spot gone,” and “Where am I going to get my grilled cheese now?”…
