PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Mental health emergencies can often escalate quickly. So, for first responders, having the right resources on scene can mean the difference between crisis and care.
A new partnership in Palm Beach County is changing how those situations are handled. It’s called Operation C.O.A.S.T, which stands for Crisis Outreach And Support Teams. What started as a successful pilot program is now expanding county-wide.
