Former worker arrested for $5,000 fuel card fraud spree in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A former employee is accused of stealing around $5,000 from his employer.

Eric Wells, 33, faces felony counts following an investigation by the West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) into the unauthorized use of a company fuel credit card from a safety equipment supplier.

The investigation began on October 28, 2024, when the company reported suspicious activity involving a company-issued fuel credit card.
