Palm Beach jeweler’s $40k Rolex Daytona vanishes in Uber heist

PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A Palm Beach jeweler’s prized blue Rolex Daytona vanished during an Uber delivery to a repair shop, leading to the arrest of a West Palm Beach man.

The Palm Beach Police Department (PBPD) said that on March 22, officers responded to LaMuse Jewelers located on Worth Avenue at 10:30 a.m. regarding a missing Rolex watch, priced at $40,000.

An employee of LaMuse Jewelers told officers that the company had used the Uber app to hire a driver to deliver the Rolex watch for a repair from their store to J.C. Martin Jewelers located on Forest Hill Boulevard in West Palm Beach on March 19…
