Teen on Scooter Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle In West Boca, Charges Pending

A 19-year-old Boca Raton man who was driving a scooter on a residential street in West Boca died Wednesday after being struck by a small SUV, with authorities investigating potential impairment of the driver.

Alexander Daniel Acevedo, 19, of Boca Raton, was struck and killed on Sandalfoot Boulevard, a small residential roadway in a neighborhood off SR-7 (US 441) in unincorporated Boca Raton.
