South Florida braces for triple-digit heat index amid dry, steamy pattern

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — A stretch of dangerously hot weather continues across South Florida this weekend, with heat index values expected to soar into the triple digits once again.

Though no official heat advisory was issued Saturday, temperatures felt near or above 100 degrees in many areas by midday, and conditions are expected to peak between 2 and 6 p.m.
