PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Innovation is blooming inside Palm Beach County classrooms! Thanks to a special grant program that empowers teachers to bring hands-on, real-world projects to life. This week, CBS12 News is highlighting the GoTeach! Classroom Grant as part of our Stuff the Bus campaign, in partnership with the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County.
“I started the class with learning about potential kinetic energy. And they learned about that. And they learned about angles on how to hit the ball to make it go in the hole correctly. And force and motion. So that was all part of the science part of it,” Palm Beach County 3rd-grade teacher Alan Geppert said.
After they learned the science, they built six mini golf holes, then headed out to play. Geppert is a past recipient of the GoTeach! Classroom Grant. The program, run by the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, encourages teachers to bring creative, innovative ideas into their classrooms…
