PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (CBS12) — Terrified and screaming at the top of her lungs, a woman was rescued from her partially submerged car after losing consciousness behind the wheel while driving.
On Thursday, July 24, officers from the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department (PBGPD) and Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue responded to reports of a submerged vehicle that drove into a canal near Tamberlane Circle.
PBGPD says when its officers arrived at the scene, the driver was in an unconscious state and slumped over inside the car. Four officers, identified as Ryan Trudeau, Kristin Slaughter, Josh Kennedy and Sheldon Keel, rushed into the canal and swam 20 yards through murky waters with limited visibility due to nighttime conditions…
