Palm Beach Panic, Child in Peril After Fentanyl Scare at Chesterbrook Academy Parade

A young girl, after having participated in an outdoor parade at Chesterbrook Academy in Palm Beach Gardens, became disturbingly unresponsive. According to CBS12, the child was found slumped in her seat, displaying signs which police reports described vividly as “Her eyes were rolling in the back of her head.” This incident, happening on July 3, led to the hospitalization of the young girl and a subsequent investigation that confirmed her exposure to fentanyl.

Local law enforcement, together with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), have been digging for answers, and while syringes had been found near the playground in the past, straight from the girl’s lunchbox or belongings, emergency responders saw no signs of distress. Taking into account a witness’s accounts of vagrants loitering in the area, they hypothesized, as mentioned in CBS12, that outdoor exposure could be plausible—a theory without direct evidence, but it remains possible.

In the wake of the incident, Chesterbrook Academy has reportedly taken it upon itself to bolster safety measures.
