Wynnebrook Elementary unveils $21M rebuild, funded by penny sales tax

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Wynnebrook Elementary in West Palm Beach unveiled a sweeping modernization funded by the county’s penny sales tax.

Construction began in March 2024 to modernize the nearly 60-year-old building, which is set to welcome students back for the 2025–2026 school year.

“It’s time to give it a brand new, fresh campus with new buildings, state-of-the-art facilities, technology, security, all the good things that we’re able to do,” said Palm Beach County School District Superintendent Michael J. Burke at the groundbreaking.
