Noisy truck leads deputies to $25K construction site theft suspect

GREENACRES, Fla. (CBS12) — A noisy engine and a sandy mishap led deputies to a man accused of stealing nearly $25,000 in brass and aluminum from a construction site.

On August 12, deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) responded to the corner of Nash Trail and Caramel Lane in Greenacres for a noise complaint for a truck revving its engine.

Deputies say they searched for the truck for 45 minutes before locating the truck stuck in sand at an empty construction site…
