One Dead, Another Hospitalized Following Double Shooting in West Palm Beach’s North Tamarind Neighborhood

Tragedy struck the North Tamarind neighborhood of West Palm Beach last night when gunshots shattered the stillness of the area, resulting in a double shooting. As the community wrestles with the aftermath, the West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) is heading a robust inquiry into the events that left one person dead and another in serious condition. Officers were dispatched at approximately 11:20 p.m. in response to a ShotSpotter alert on the 1400 block of 13th Street, near Gaines Park, and, upon arrival, discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to a press release on the City of West Palm Beach’s official website, one victim was quickly transported to an area hospital, presenting with grave injuries, while the second victim was declared dead at the scene. The case, identified as number 20250012991, remains open.
