Palm Beach County Schools see significant drop in enrollment

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Even though Palm Beach County’s population continues to rise, CBS12 News has learned the county’s public schools have seen a significant drop in enrollment.

The Palm Beach County School District has provided a school-by-school breakdown of the official enrollment. Their official count for the start of the 2025 school year is 159,098 students, down from 164,614 students in 2024. This is a 3.4% drop in enrollment.

Charter schools also saw a drop – from 20,773 to 21,527. That’s on par with the public schools at 3.5%…
