Palm Beach board delays fining condo group over conditions at historic Warden House

The condominium association for the North End’s historic William Gray Warden House must make progress in its effort to repair the landmarked 103-year-old building, or Palm Beach officials may hit the group with a daily-running fine in September.

That was the warning the Code Enforcement Board gave the association’s attorney Lisa Reves during its Aug. 21 meeting. She had requested a six-month deferral of any penalty deadline to give architects and contractors time to evaluate and draft a construction bid to address the crumbling stonework and spalling concrete apparent at the former mansion at 200 N. Ocean Blvd.

“This is not something that can be accomplished in 30 days,” she told the board, referring to the one-month deadline the code board had imposed at its July meeting…
