If you’ve been feeling like every afternoon ends in a downpour lately, you’re not wrong, and today’s looking pretty similar. A big weather system stretching from the Mid-Atlantic down into the Gulf is helping fuel another round of scattered storms, especially across South Florida.
There’s plenty of moisture in the air, and with less cloud cover early on, we could see storms fire up a little earlier than usual. Expect showers and thunderstorms to pop up inland, then drift toward the east coast metro areas later in the day. Some of these storms could be strong, with gusty winds (30–50 mph) and heavy rain. Most spots will see 1–2 inches, but a few areas—especially in Palm Beach county—could get up to 4 inches if storms stall or repeat over the same area…
