Palm Beach, FL Weather Alert: Flood Advisory in Effect Until 3:15 p.m. Friday With Heavy Rainfall

Palm Beach, Fla. – Heavy rainfall is triggering flood concerns across Palm Beach County Friday afternoon as thunderstorms continue to sweep through southeast Florida. Roads in low-lying and poor drainage areas are already seeing water ponding, raising travel risks.

According to the National Weather Service in Miami, a Flood Advisory remains in effect until 3:15 p.m. Friday. Doppler radar detected heavy rain around 1:18 p.m., with 1 to 2 inches already recorded in several communities. Another inch of rainfall is possible, which could worsen minor flooding in parts of the county.

Areas most likely to experience impacts include Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Ocean Ridge, Dunes Road, Kings Point, Gulf Stream, Briny Breezes and the Villages of Oriole. Drivers are urged to avoid flooded roadways, as most flood-related deaths occur in vehicles…
