Man crashes into Riviera Beach house, allegedly threatens community; 14 guns seized

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A 27-year-old man was safely taken into custody Thursday evening after crashing a car into a home and allegedly threatening residents and police with a firearm.

The Riviera Beach Police Department (RBPD) said at around 5:57 p.m. on September 18, multiple 911 calls reported a car had crashed into a house at 233 W. 14th Street, and the driver was armed and making threats to “kill everyone and himself.”

Police identified the suspect as 27-year-old Keanu Kristopher Montaque, a Riviera Beach resident. Officers said they found Montaque at his home in the 1600 Avenue F, where he was quickly taken into custody and placed under a Baker Act for mental health evaluation…
