You might see a few coastal showers early this morning, and maybe an isolated shower or storm toward early evening, but overall, it’s shaping up to be a dry and pleasant day.
By Sunday afternoon, a bit more moisture starts creeping in from the south. That could be just enough to spark a few more showers and storms, mainly inland during the mid-afternoon hours when daytime heating peaks. Rain chances will still be below average—around 30 to 40%—and metro areas should see minimal impacts aside from a few extra clouds later in the day.
Looking Ahead: Sunday Night Through Friday
Heading into next week, an upper-level trough—a dip in the jet stream—will slowly stretch southward from the Great Lakes toward the southeastern U.S. By mid to late week, this feature could evolve into a cutoff low, a slow-moving pocket of low pressure aloft, drifting toward the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys. That setup might stall a weak boundary across central Florida, allowing more moisture to return to South Florida.
