Man allegedly torches stolen $90K BMW after nightclub theft on Clematis

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — It was a long night for a Riviera Beach man after a stolen luxury SUV was found engulfed in flames in a warehouse district early Sunday morning.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said 23-year-old Dominique Reid was arrested on Thursday after a stolen luxury SUV was found engulfed in flames in a warehouse district early Sunday morning. Reid faces first-degree arson and grand theft in connection with the incident.

According to the arrest report, it started at around 3 a.m. on September 21, when the victim parked his 2021 BMW X6 M50i at a Clematis Street lot in West Palm Beach. While he was inside a nearby nightclub, Spazio, the vehicle was stolen. The vehicle’s owner confirmed he did not give anyone permission to use or damage the vehicle and is pursuing prosecution.
