Florida health officials lift no-swim advisory for Midtown Beach after newest water sample

Florida health officials have lifted a no-swim advisory for Midtown Beach Oct. 9, after a water-quality test found that bacteria levels had dropped to a “good” range.

But a National Weather Services alert released that same day is urging beachgoers to use caution in the water because of strong rip currents that are expected to last until Oct. 11.
