HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A three-vehicle crash on Interstate 4 westbound near the 9 Milepost resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries on Monday, around 1:54 PM.
The fatal collision involved a Ford F250 pickup, a Jeep Cherokee SUV, and a Kenworth dump truck, accordign to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to Troopers, traffic ahead of the crash scene had slowed to a stop, and the lead vehicles—a Kenworth dump truck and a Jeep Cherokee —came to a stop. Tropers say a Ford F250, traveling directly behind the Jeep, failed to stop in time and collided with the rear of the SUV.
