Bidding war leads to Palm Beach house selling above asking price for $21 million

Several offers from would-be buyers resulted in restaurateur Todd Herbst and his wife, Brandie, selling their Palm Beach home on the near North End for $21 million — or $500,000 more than the asking price.

The Herbsts sold the Mediterranean-style house at 167 Everglade Ave. to a Florida limited liability company named Everglade167 LLC, according to the deed recorded Nov. 3. The buying entity is managed by Jupiter attorney Alison R. Percy, according to business records. Percy could not immediately be reached for comment.

The four-bedroom house has 6,030 square feet of living space, inside and out, according to property records. Completed in 2016, the house stands in the ocean block of Everglade Avenue, about a third of a mile north of The Breakers resort…
