DELRAY BEACH, FL – A Florida woman’s attempt to file a formal complaint against a police officer turned into a tense confrontation inside the Delray Beach Police Department — and the disturbing footage she captured has since gone viral, sparking outrage over police accountability and abuse of power.
Caught on Camera: The Officer She Came to Report
The viral video, which lasts just over three minutes, begins with the woman calmly standing in the department’s lobby, recording as an officer — identified by online users as Sgt. Baer — repeatedly approaches her. She firmly states she is there to speak directly with the chief of police and refuses to discuss the matter with anyone else.
Instead of respecting her request, Sgt. Baer moves closer, accusing her of “putting the camera in his face.” The video, however, clearly shows that he is the one closing the distance, stepping toward her in what many online have described as an act of intimidation.
When she stands her ground, the officer calls for backup. Within moments, several other officers enter the lobby and surround the woman, as she explains that Sgt.
