Man convicted after stabbing roommate to death back in June

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A man accused of stabbing his roommate to death less than five months ago could face a life sentence, according to the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office.

The State Attorney’s Office says after a four-day trial that ended on Thursday, November 6, James Griffin was convicted of first-degree murder and tampering with evidence after he stabbed his 63-year-old roommate, Dennis Lamy. After the verdict came in, a life sentence was imposed.

The murder occurred on June 22, inside a home on Lake Worth Beach, the State Attorney’s Office says.
