Pedestrian struck, killed by train in West Palm Beach

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train the evening of Nov. 12 in West Palm Beach, city police said.

Investigators say the crash happened at about 6:45 p.m. along the 1600 block of Clare Avenue. Police responded to the scene and found one person near the train tracks who was fatally injured. Investigators did not disclose the name of the person who died.

Eastbound Old Okeechobee Road at Parker Avenue was temporarily closed to traffic. The incident occurred about a four hours after another train-related death in the West Palm Beach area…
