Palm Beach County Hosts World AIDS Day Luncheon to Celebrate Progress and Tackle Future HIV Challenges

Riviera Beach will host an informative luncheon and panel discussion in observance of World AIDS Day. Palm Beach County is putting the spotlight on the fight against HIV with a special event on December 1, from 11 am to 1 pm. Hosted at the Mayme Frederick Building, 1440 MLK Blvd., this occasion is set to celebrate milestones in HIV care and foster conversations on future challenges and strategies.

In a statement obtained by the Palm Beach County Newsroom, Dr. Casey Messer, Program Manager for HIV Elimination Services, will showcase newly compiled data at the event. “This past year has been transformational for HIV services in Palm Beach County. Attendees can expect to hear about free at-home HIV testing mobile units, tele-counseling services, as well as recent advances in HIV prevention and treatment medications.

Also speaking at the event will be HIV Care Council Chair, Mr. Richardo Jackson. “On World AIDS Day, we honor the progress we’ve made and recommit to the work still ahead. Palm Beach County is proud to lead with compassion, innovation and collaboration, ensuring that every resident has the opportunity to live healthy, empowered and HIV-free. Let’s remember, HIV doesn’t discriminate and testing is for everyone!” Jackson says.
