Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center Completes Its First Aquablation Procedure

Milestone marks another advancement in minimally invasive urologic care

December 1, 2025 – Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center is announcing the completion of its first Aquablation procedure, a minimally invasive operation to treat enlarged prostate, also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The landmark procedure was performed by Sean L. Sawh, MD, FACS, a surgical urologist on staff at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

Aquablation therapy is an innovative treatment for lower urinary tract symptoms caused by BPH. Using the AquaBeam Robotic System, this approach integrates real-time, multi-dimensional imaging with automated robotic precision and a heat-free waterjet to remove excess prostate tissue.
