Boaters, take note: your usual routine for letting down those outriggers and antennas prior to a ride under the A1A bridge at Boynton Inlet might not suffice in a few weeks.
Included in the U.S. Coast Guard’s periodic Local Notice to Mariners for the region is a warning about work poised to begin soon that will improve the surface deck and underpinnings of the bridge, but temporarily lessen the maximum clearance for boaters navigating underneath it. The bridge rehabilitation at the A1A Bridge is set to begin Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, and be completed Monday, May 18, 2026.
