West Palm Beach, FLA. (WPEC) — South Florida will enjoy generally dry and seasonable conditions through this afternoon as high pressure – an area of sinking air that leads to calm weather conditions – over the western Atlantic continues to extend across the peninsula. Temperatures will warm into the upper 70s to low 80s.
There is very dry and stable air over the region, which will help suppress any shower activity until later in the day.
Rain chances begin to rise late this afternoon and evening as a weakening frontal boundary over the Florida Keys lifts northward and brings increasing moisture into South Florida. At the same time, a stronger system over the eastern United States will help pull additional moisture into the region, weakening the aforementioned area of high pressure that has kept conditions dry…
