PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — The man who was shot during a deputy-involved shooting after allegedly swinging a machete over his head while charging at law enforcement was discharged from the hospital on Saturday.
Following being discharged, Andre Mayard, 19, was arrested and booked on felony counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO).
