BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — The Town Center at Boca Raton food court transformed into a hub of holiday spirit today as Boca Helping Hands welcomed over 500 local residents for its 10th annual Christmas Day feast. The event brought together seniors, working-class families, and children for a festive meal provided by local restaurants, creating a celebratory environment for those who might otherwise spend the holiday without a traditional meal. Andrew Hagen of Boca Helping Hands noted that the event serves as a vital bridge for the area.
“Today is an opportunity for the community to give and for other community members to receive. This is the 10th year that we’ve been hosting a meal for clients from Boca Helping Hands with special needs seniors, working class people trying to make ends meet, children, of course,” Hagen explained.
