Disruptive Technology Company Ampera Will Base Global Operations in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Dec. 29, 2025 — The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County is pleased to share that advanced nuclear energy company AMPERA has selected Palm Beach Gardens for its global headquarters.

AMPERA recently announced its emergence from stealth mode to unveil one of the safest and most advanced microreactor systems ever developed — purpose-built and fueled by thorium to power sectors including defense, data centers and industrial applications with compact, emission-free, autonomous energy.

AMPERA projects a multi-billion-dollar investment in Palm Beach County over the next five years as it scales to commercial deployment. The company expects to add 100 positions by the end of 2026 and approximately 2,500 positions by the time it begins full-scale production at an additional location in Palm Beach County within the next five years. High-skilled labor will include nuclear engineers, physicists and safety experts, computer scientists, materials analysts and financial professionals.
