The Society of the Four Arts is welcoming the new year with a Jan. 5 lecture featuring the 2026 Beyer Artist-in-Residence, French painter Louise Sartor.
Slated for 3 p.m., Jan. 5, “To Paint is Caring Enough to Stay” will feature Sartor in conversation with art historian Lacy Davisson as they delve into the French painter’s artistic process, from her unique canvas selection to the moments she chooses to capture in her paintings, according to a release.
