WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A 26-year-old man was killed Friday after his pickup truck struck two vehicles and a streetlight pole while trying to pass cars on Southern Blvd.
According to deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Joseph Taylor Alvarez was driving his pickup truck eastbound near Jog Road in the left lane of Southern Boulevard around 10:05 p.m. on Friday.
Alvarez sped past a Mercedes and a Volkswagen traveling eastbound in the center lane, hitting both with his front passenger side before veering right into a metal street light pole on the shoulder, according to the crash report…
